Blossom Trail Bed and Breakfast 2390 Newmark $119-159/ two persons Innkeepers, Fred and Judy Case McNairy, christened their Blossom Trail Bed and Breakfast after the Central Valley Blossom Trail, which highlights a colorful canvas of beautiful blooming orchards and vineyards. Along with its close proximity to the Blossom Trail, the private three bedroom ranch home also invites you to enjoy watching the numerous bird species which live in the riparian corridor of the Kings River. The pastures below paint a peaceful tableau of grazing cattle, while the gardens of the bed and breakfast contain a variety of trees and vines producing fresh fruit and nuts which are seasonally served at breakfast. The three rooms include the Rose Garden Suite, a perfect romantic getaway furnished in Victorian style with a Jacuzzi tub and private deck, the Magnolia Room with its original wood floor and antique furnishings, and the Sunflower Room quaintly decorated with sunflowers, lilies and hydrangeas. All the rooms have private baths, king or queen sized beds, and beautiful views of the gardens, river bottom and the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The common areas of the home include a family room with television, a comfortable living room, and outdoor patio. Amenities offered are hair dryers, refrigerators, iron and ironing board, TV with VCR and a collection of movies. The continental breakfast seasonally serves peaches, nectarines, plums, oranges, tangerines, grapefruit, grapes, persimmons, pomegranates, almonds, walnuts and pistachios. All summer long, Sanger and other small communities near by, offer terrific farmers' markets when you can buy local produce or enjoy dining and local entertainment. Other fun activities include hiking mountain trails, fishing or river-rafting in the world famous Kings River, golfing, or renting a pontoon boat or jet ski at near by lakes. The home's gardens also are the perfect spot for your outdoor party or reception. Your hosts work as a CPA and bed and breakfast host. A non-refundable $25 deposit per night is required, with acceptance of VISA and MC. Cancellations made 2-6 days prior to stay will also be charged the first night. Cancellation on the day of arrival will incur a charge for the full amount. Smoking is allowed only on the outdoor patio. Rosedale Bed and Breakfast 2124 Avenue 468 $103-110/ two persons, $20 additional person Bill and Carol Rosedale offer two rooms in the tranquility of country living in a ranch style home located in the middle of their 83-acre working orange farm. Each room has a queen bed, brightly decorated in country style. Guests are heartily welcomed and given a basket of fresh fruit. Relax in the peaceful country evenings in the recreation room, equipped with a TV, VCR, books and games. Breakfast is served from 7:00-9:00 am on the outside deck overlooking the garden, oranges groves and the Sierra Nevada mountains. It begins with freshly squeezed orange juice, made from oranges picked by Bill each morning. Along with a platter of fresh fruit, you may choose from delicious whole grain banana, zucchini, and other fruit breads, muffins, cinnamon rolls or biscuits. Carol's surprise hot entree of the day may include country potatoes and eggs, strawberry waffles or "best ever" whole wheat buttermilk pancakes. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are available on the deck before breakfast and guests are invited to help themselves while enjoying the early morning country atmosphere. During cooler weather, breakfast is served indoors. Enjoy nearby boating, hiking, caving, hang-gliding, golfing, fishing, river rafting, cross-country skiing, and horseback riding in the High Sierra. Sequoia View Vineyard Bed

Frankwood Ave $139-159/ two persons Jim and Debbie Van Haun invite you to stay at their a 20-acre winery and bed and breakfast, located in the region known as the Fruit Basket of the World. They offer three rooms. The Winemaker's Suite is located above the winery tasting room and is the only bedroom in this building. This second story suite has its own entrance, king size sleigh bed and private balcony. It is very romantic with large picture windows with a panoramic view of the vineyard, surrounding hills and the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The Vineyard Guesthouse houses the Zinfandel and the Alicante Suites, each suite has a private entrance and bath. The Zinfandel Suite is romantic and restful with a king size sleigh bed and stately leather chairs. The grand bathroom is complete with a Jacuzzi tub for two. The Alicante Suite, named after their estate wines, has a queen bed dressed in waverly linens, with a personal parlor and bath with shower. The made-from-scratch breakfast is prepared with many ingredients that are grown locally and includes freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit, homemade breads, and main entrees. Guests can enjoy complimentary wine tasting and a tour of the winery which produces small lots of handcrafted wines including zinfandel, grenache, cabernet sauvignon, merlot and the rare alicante bouschet. Wonder Valley Ranch Resort 6450 Elwood Drive $99-139/ two persons The Oken family bought this historic ranch in 1973, and since then it has become a family-run ranch and resort. Larry and Myrna Oken are the general manager and group service co-ordinator for the resort. In the 1890's it was a refuge for the infamous outlaws, the Dalton brothers, then became the Pierson Guest Ranch in 1911, and in the 1940's it was a dude ranch resort owned by the Webb family. The Oken family has continued the ranch's reputation for country hospitality. So if you come to Wonder Valley, you are becoming a part of its famous history with roots in the wild, wild west. The ranch is nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills, amid acres of shady oaks and sycamores, next to the Kings River. It offers ten bed and breakfast cottages, all decorated in a Western flavor with knotty pine furniture and lovely quilts, each with a front deck. The cottages have individually controlled heating and air conditioning, private bath, in-room coffee service, refrigerator, telephone and satellite TV. The hearty continental breakfast is served in the beautiful Lakeshore Lodge overlooking Dalton Pond, or in one of the other more intimate dining rooms. Other meals are available with 24 hour notice and a full bar service is offered. The Ranch allows for a wealth of recreational activities including boating and fishing on Dalton Pond, a putting green, tennis, volleyball, basketball, horseshoe pit, swimming pool, Jacuzzi spa, professional massage therapy, horseback trail rides, and a seasonal barnyard petting farm.
